Graceful Evolution

A clean evolution of the existing identity. It has been refreshed, modernised and made more premium. This is a simple modern identity that will stand out.

The existing logo has been revitalised while ensuring it is still recognizable. The identity is based on the concept of a premium label (identity panel). The descriptor within the panel device is clear and logical, communicating the different parts of the organization. This allows freedom to push the boundaries with visual imagery for different colleges, yet ensures the visual glue that’s binds all communications pieces together as one overall brand.

This approach communicates grace, dynamism and the unique characteristics
of each college and department in a graphic and visually engaging way. It is a beautifully functional identity that is simple to use and will bring clarity and consistency to the university.

KSU ACRONYM

This identity literally pushes the boundaries through the use of the abbreviation KSU, the unexpected angles derived from the Fibonacci sequence and a logotype that cannot be contained within its holding device.

Abbreviating ‘King Saud University’ to KSU makes the name easy to recognise, vocalise and travel well. It also de-positions the local competitor set as purely local.

The KSU abbreviated letterforms also overlay and offer a clear view through to the subject matter, visually implying that KSU are the window/doorway through which knowledge is obtained.

This identity puts a ‘stake in the ground’ for where the university wants to be; sending a powerful positive message to faculty, students, the people of Saudi Arabia and audiences throughout the world; KSU is on the global stage, pushing the boundaries and owning the future of education.
