In 2015, Hotel Indigo® wanted to follow on from the success of a previous food campaign entitled ‘Flavours of the Neighbourhood’ this time using local music heritage of the to reinforce how relevant and well placed the location of each Hotel Indigo is to it’s visiting guests.
Hotel Indigo® teamed up with Radio, TV presenter and all-round music guru Edith Bowman to curate a series of locally-inspired playlists for its hotels. The Sounds of the Neighbourhood was created in collaboration with eminent British musicians whose careers flourished in three Hotel Indigo neighbourhoods; London, Liverpool and Glasgow.
Edith Bowman served as curator, DJ and selector of each city playlist to work alongside famous city musicians to create a DJ set, played live on key dates in the hotel and featured as a playlist available on spotify.
An overview film was produced to introduce the campaign event and then a set of three others featuring interviews with the local musicians and producers highlighting their musical experiences of the city and local neighbourhood.
